MCDP Program of Work
Chamber of Commerce Division:
Objective: Represent the MCDP at various functions and events.
Objective: Explore and pursue ways to assist and support MCDP small business members.
Objective: Provide events that allow members to network in a casual setting.
Objective: Create and maintain a positive and productive working relationship with all communities located in Marion County. Work with communities to promote, enhance, and develop plans for improvements.
Objective: Develop and enhance partnerships between MCDP member businesses and area school districts.
Objective: Organize special events to further develop business networking.
Objective: Develop tourist attractions and market tourism opportunities.
Objective: Identify and explore ways to enhance the image of Marion County and its communities.
Objective: Maintain a positive relationship with all levels of government. Keep members of the MCDP abreast of government issues of significant interest to the business community.
Objective: Increase membership investment through recruitment and education of new and former members.
Objective: Organize an annual event for the MCDP Membership.

Economic Development Division:
Objective: Identify and explore ways to meet the needs of local manufacturing.
Objective: Facilitate the creation of jobs and attract capital to the area.
Objective: Formulate a strategy for developing additional properties for economic growth.

Planning/Partnership Division:
Objective: Collaborate with each investment partner to achieve the overall goals and mission of the MCDP and fulfill intent of the agreements and/or contracts.
Objective: Review applications, approve plans and ensure compliance with subdivision regulation.
