Recreational Opportunities in Marion County

Marion County offers a multitude of recreational activities, most of which can be enjoyed nearly year-round. In addition to area lakes, campgrounds, hunting sites, playgrounds, sports fields and picnic areas, Marion County features several family-friendly recreation sites including Columbia Water Park, Columbia City Park and the Columbia Exposition Center.

Other highlights of the area include Friendship Park, a special area inside Columbia City Park that was built by area volunteers in five days using donated materials and tools, and the Wilson Horse Ranch in Sandy Hook, a 12-acre horse farm featuring a 14-stall barn with covered riding pen.
